Mass Energy is a music production, recording, mixing, and mastering studio located Northwest of Chicago, near Crystal Lake, IL.. The studio has a full complement of analog and digital gear - a full ProTools setup - in addition to full setup of Ableton, Reason, and more. Re-amping setup. There are basses and guitars and amplifiers - as well as analog and digital synths, pianos, & a Fender Rhodes. There are analog and digital drum machines and full drum kits. The studio currently mainly focuses on post-production, mixing, and mastering. Pre-production, tracking, & engineering is available, however. Submit an inquiry via the form below, and thank you!

  • Guitar Amps: Orange Dual Dark 200W Head and Orange 4x12 Cabinet | Marshall JCM 900 100W Head and 1960 Vintage 4x12 Cabinet | Fender Twin Reverb Amp

  • Bass Amps: 1974 Marshall Super Bass Head | GK Goldline 300W Head and 4x10 cabinet | Ampeg Pro Head and Cabinet

  • Drums: big Dark Horse Percussion 5 piece drum set, Zildjian cymbals and hats, multiple snares

  • Keys: Upright Piano, Fender Rhodes 88-key with suitcase amp / cab beneath

  • Synths / Sequencers / Drum Machines: a variety of synthesizers (Triton, MicroKorg, Yamaha RM1X, Boss Dr. 202, etc.) and any soft-synth / soft-drumbox you can imagine with a full complement of samples.
